Intermediate Level Architect

We are seeking a creative and proactive individual who shares our passion for design to join our studio based practice. Candidates must be interested in working across all phases of a project, able to work both collaboratively and independently, and across several projects and project scales. The position offers growth and leadership potential for the right candidate.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years professional experience including experience in Contract Administration
• Knowledge and demonstrated interest in sustainable design practices
• Strong aptitude for architectural design and execution through to construction detailing
• Advanced knowledge of BIM architectural modeling using Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suite CS4/5
• Knowledge and demonstrated interest in sustainable design practices
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Completion of ExAC hours and examination activities preferred

Duties include:

• Self-motivated, well organized, with a demonstrated passion for excellence in design and project delivery
• Capability and experience managing mid-sized projects including coordinating the work of consultants
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team setting

A selection of BSN’s current projects includes:

• 8,000 s.f. waterfront pavilion and landscape
• 100,000 s.f. agri-equestrian centre
• 10,000 s.f. sustainability research laboratory
• 20,000 s.f. Montessori School
• 140 unit mid-rise urban housing
• Tower Renewal (social housing / deep energy retrofit)
